Normal (2026): A crime thriller starring Bob Odenkirk and Henry Winkler, filmed in Winnipeg and Winnipeg Beach in late 2024.  Violent Night 2 (2026): The sequel to the popular action-comedy has been actively filming in various Winnipeg locations, including local malls. Finding My Connection (2026): ****There is currently one Hallmark title being filmed in the city, set to be released in June 2026. November 1963 (2026): starring John Travolta currently filming in Winnipeg. July 11, 2025 7:04 pm CST. Hollywood comes north as a new feature film about the assassination of John F. Kennedy, starring John Travolta, is currently in production shooting in Winnipeg. Little House on the Prairie (2026): Filming took place in outside of Winnipeg, Canada, from June to October 2025. It Takes Two (2026) Vince Vaughn is slated to star alongside James Marsden in the new Winnipeg film The Long Walk: (2025): An adaptation of the Stephen King novel, this Lionsgate feature starring Mark Hamill was filmed in the area in mid-2024. Champions (2023): directed by Bobby Farrelly, is a remake of a 2018 Spanish film. Woody Harrelson plays a temperamental minor-league basketball coach who ends up coaching a team of players with intellectual disabilities — and learns life lessons along the way. Nobody (2021): A docile family man reveals his true, violent character after a home invasion, filmed extensively in the city. Violent Night (2022): A disgruntled Santa Claus fights mercenaries in a wealthy family's compound, using Winnipeg's winter landscape to great effect. The Ice Road (2021): An action thriller starring Liam Neeson about a dangerous rescue mission over a frozen lake in northern Canada, with segments shot in the Winnipeg area. Ordinary Angels (2024): This drama, based on a true story, about a hairdresser who rallies a community to help a sick child, was filmed in Winnipeg.  Capote (2005): the Oscar-winning biopic about the writer Truman Capote was shot primarily in Winnipeg.
